Yes, europeans use the period as we Americans use the comma, to denote
thousands, if I'm not mistaken. Thus, 80.000 is usually translated 80,000
into American english. Which would be more along the lines of the estimated
cost for a rated acryllic dome, I think... Quite pricey, if you ask me. That
is also, incidentally, the average price of a Boeing 747 cockpit window. Ah,
the price we pay for the nice toys!
