I just "re-" found an old news article (from 17. Jan. 1999) with the following contense:

A cell phone batterie can be charge in the future with alcohol.
A first prototype was developed by scientists from the US firm MANHATTAN SCIENTIFICS.
This new "alcohol battery" should hold a cell phone for 2 week in standby mode.
The goal is to develope a smaler "direct alcohol cell phone battery" that is able to hold the phone for six month in standby mode.

sounds good.

Anybody how know more about it?

guess you will get some problems ..... .-))

But never the less it sounds great to "burn" (ore whatever the do with that stuff) 100 liter pure alcohol for a dive and find after this lets say  two a half liters remaining in the tank....
