Most, if not not all, cultures contain mythological world destructions and
renewals. It's one of those things that "oogah boogah" new-age types and
liberal arts professors talk about (ad infinitum) at cocktail parties.


Water is a common theme because of its power for giving and taking life.
Now not ALL cultures have water as this metaphor for death/rebirth but
it is more pervasive than you'd think.
