Underwater Intervention 2002, the World's Premiere Conference for
Commercial Diving, ROVs, AUVs and Marine Technology, just got better with
ADDED content for the Offshore Contractor.

The conference will be held Feb. 27 - Mar. 2, 2002 at the Morial Convention
Center in New Orleans, LA.  Underwater Intervention now features three and
a half days of Technical Papers and Panels with special emphasis on
offshore underwater contracting.

The following are new additions to the Technical Program:

USCG OVERSIGHT OF COMMERCIAL DIVING OPS DURING SALVAGE & POLLUTION RESPONSE
Thursday, Feb. 28 - 10:00 am
LT James E. Elliott, USCG

Coast Guard response personnel encounter commercial diving operations
during the oversight of salvage and pollution response. During an oil spill
or hazardous substance release, the National Contingency Plan requires that
response operations, including commercial diving, be conducted in
accordance with the requirements, standards, and regulations of OSHA and
USCG 46 CFR 197.

UI Awards Luncheon Keynote Presentation:
THE GULF COAST BASIN: A BONE YARD OR A BOON YARD
Thursday, Feb. 28 - 11:30 am
D. Peter Canty, CEO-President & COO, Stone Energy Corporation

Stone Energy is one of the Gulf Coast Basin's leading independent oil and
gas companies, with estimated proven reserves to 398.5 billion cubic feet
of natural gas and 33.6 million barrels of oil. Stone Energy has been
active in the Gulf Coast area since 1973 and has established extensive
geophysical, technical and operational expertise in this area, operating
primarily in the shallow waters of the Gulf Coast Basin.

GULF OF MEXICO MMS PROSPECTIVE
Thursday, Feb. 28 - 1:30 pm
Donald C. Howard, MMS Regional Supervisor

The MMS is responsible for regulating oil and gas activity on the Outer
Continental Shelf for the United States. This overview will present the
status of the Gulf of Mexico and the pending changes to the regulations,
which will affect diving inspection frequencies.

UNDERWATER INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS

Office of Structural and Technical Support

All platforms on the Outer Continental Shelf must be inspected in
accordance with the requirements of the Code of Federal Regulations, Title
30, Part 250, Subpart I, Section 900. Subpart I has been rewritten and
published for public comment. This presentation will cover both the current
requirements and the proposed requirements.

PANEL: USCG EFFORTS TO IMPROVE COMMERCIAL DIVING SAFETY IN THE NEW
MILLENNIUM

LCDR John Cushing, USCG

Coast Guard representatives will discuss the regulatory picture for
commercial diving, including compliance and safety awareness in an open
forum. Advances in dive technology, increased commercial diving activity,
and recent diving casualties have led the U.S. Coast Guard to reconsider
its regulations concerning commercial diving operations.  Also, recent
diving casualties have prompted the Coast Guard to conduct outreach efforts
to increase safety awareness and regulatory compliance.  This panel will
provide an overview of the U.S. Coast Guard's outreach efforts and
regulatory scheme for commercial diving.

PANEL: THE OSHA 300 LAW AND RECORD KEEPING REQUIREMENTS

OSHA's new record-keeping rule including the OSHA 300 Log and associated
forms went into effect as scheduled on January 1, 2002. This panel will
discuss the effect and impact of OSHA 300 on the offshore operator and
diving contractor, and will allow participants and panel members to share
and/or seek information on the concerns and regulatory status of OSHA's new
record-keeping requirements. Panel Members will include an OSHA
representative, offshore operators and underwater contractors.

PURCHASING AGENT MEETING
Friday, March 1 - 1:00 pm

Suppliers of diving and underwater equipment and supplies will have a
chance to meet one-on-one with purchasing agents from around the country to
discuss various issues pertaining to each side of the supply chain.
