RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Alien sub
I agree 100%, I was amazed its a 1 atm design, because it looks so much like
a wet or a dry ambient. Presumably there is a pressure hull under that outer
skin, and on the web page when they say "we can adjust it to reach 1000
feet" maybe the canopy would be lost in the adjustment -- but even 250 feet
looks mighty deep for those big flat windows. What a shame Star Wars
aesthetics don't conform too well to pressure vessel physics. And those jet
intakes and machine guns would make any little boy like myself drool. My own
project is sort of the opposite; driven purely by engineering and cost,
hence its damned ugly!
I really would love to be proven wrong on this one. After all, who would
have believed there could be something as audacious as bionic dolphin? Hats
off to anyone that creative if they can actually make their concept real.

I mean I saw a brochure, but that kind of design raises my eyebrows.
I dont see where they can load so much fuel for a 300 miles range, and how
the canopy could resist to 1000 Ft pressure, it looks to me like a wet sub.
