If I ever get my boat built I'm outfitting it with a PVC-pipe potato deck gun.

That's what we did all Christmas weekend (the cannon part, not the sub part. it was below zero here!) You could power it with your onboard compressed air.

A nerf torpedo is what I've always called it, too. It needs to be bright yellow, reusable, unsinkable, and make a loud noise and/or a puff of smoke on impact. Guidance? Or just a straight-run, peer through a sighting tube and pull the trigger arrangement? It *would* be cool if you could buy them ready-made, and the manufacturer would specify that you need a source of x-psi air for it, and a standard sized, say, 4" launching tube.

I wonder about those water rockets. I still have one I've had forever somebody gave me for a birthday present or something when I was a kid. A rocket-shaped vessel you fill halfway or so with water, and then a little hand pump it locks onto while you shoot air into it. Then you pull back the release and it goes like heck. I've wondered about one made out of 2" PVC...
