This anchor has a few problems but I suppose could be a possiblity.
First, it is only good relative to the length of the shaft plus the
length which must go into the bottom. That means, you might as sell just
set her down on the bottom without an anchor or perhaps that is what you
meant. I think I would like something good for minimum of 50 feet from
the bottom. Also, anchors work best when the line is payed out and lays
on the bottom for a ways. Anchors don't work well stright vertical. I do
like this design if you are sitting on the bottom. It won't get tangled
and no ropes to replace. Hey, how about both? How about relocating it to
inside and to the rear of the conn? That would give the additional
length perhaps handy at times. Rather than only three feet long it might
be ten feet long which sure would be handy to me.
