Couldn't someone out there test this topic pretty easily and let us all know for sure?

Science begins, as they say, with observation...

One concern that strikes me is this: if the thing can "see" the surface, and if it can "see" boats
at the surface, does it have the resolution to make out really small/shallow draft boats, say
under 6" draft as many little dinghies and inflatables are?

And related, if it can "see" the surface, how does chop etc influence readings?

Easy for me to ask, I don't got no sub anyhow...
