[PSUBS-MAILIST] AIP and Carbon Nano Faser Hydrogen Storage

Hi Submadmans,

Has anybody of you informations, sources or links
about Carbon Nano Faser Hydrogen Storage Technology ?
(über Kohlenstoff Nano Faser Wasserstoff Speicher Technologie ?)

Did some research/calculations about AIP drives
to increase the underwater-range.

results : (CSSX with 30 kw engine and 4 knots)

1) with electric lead battery : ca. 20 sm
2) with Hydrogen-Motor and gas storage H2 and O2	: ca. 20 sm
3) with Close cycle diesel (CCD) and gas storeage O2	: ca. 70 sm
4) with Fuel cell and gas storage H2 and O2 : ca. 60 sm
5) with Fule cell and gas.st.O2 and CNF H2 store	: ca.180 sm
6) with Hydrogen-Motor and gas.st.O2 and CNF H2 st. : ca. 65 sm

Hydrogen-Motor : Petrolengine driven in close cycle
with H2 and O2 injection.

At the moment it looks that 4) and later rebuild (easy)
to 5) is the best solution.
Number 2) seems the cheapest solution and has the
capacity to change later to 6).
Number 3) looks good but there are maybe some problems
with smell and dust in the submarine.

But unfortunalty I have no real information about CNF technology.

All the best for next year to everbody, Carsten
