Thats the way.. but be careful with the welding stick or the welding
wire. For my MiG welder I use 3 kinds of wires :
1.)Wire for black steel to black steel (all normal kinds of not
stainless steel)
2.)Wire for white steel to white steel (all normal kinds of stainless
steel)
3.)Wire for white steel with black steel (not stainless steel with
stainless..)
You should not use 1.) for white steel or for conections between
black and white. You should also not use 2.) for conections
between black and white because there is a risk of cracks.
Only 3.) is for black/white weldings.
Unfortunalty we have other numbers here for the wires:
1.) (black) called here OK Autorod 12.56 as Mig wire 18 Kg rolls
2.) (white) called here OK Autorod 16.31 as Mig wire 15 kg rolls
3.) (black with white) called here OK Autorod 16.95 as Mig wire 15 kg
rolls
number 3.) has also the material number stainless steel 1.4370

During Mig welding the inserts - cover the surface of the insert
near the welding area with small steel or aluminium plate to protect
the surface from hot sparks points.
