Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Starting from scratch
Hi Stieven,
This site is a great resource for information. We will point you in the
right way and will even discuss your questions.
However there are so many designs variations and types of PSUBS
that this site does can not give specific building details. We
can guide you, but...
It is your sub and you will have to do a certain amount of detail work of
your own. What I mean is that, you will have to read and study books.
You will have to learn to work with metal. You will have to about
dive physiology, which is best learned by becoming a Certified Scuba
diver. On and on.
If you want details handed to you of a proven design then there are
a few sources out there for plans. Kittredge has a pretty good
1 ATM design. Basic and functional. I am not sure of any
Ambient plans you can purchase but IVC's SportSub is a good design.
It really comes down to what kind of sub you want, how badly you want
a sub and how much effort you want to put into it. It is your life,
I am sure you would want to be thorough. Even if we told you the
details you will have to know enough to decide if you want to risk
your life on those details.
Regards,
Ray
