You best ask Phil Nuytten friend.  He probably knew him better than anyone
else on this website.  I can tell you this much though.  George Kitteridge,
Frank Busby, Doug Privett, Phil Nuytten, and Vance Bradley are the one's I
look to as experts in this field.
If you could somehow harness all the combined knowledge and experience these
individuals have in terms of personal submersibles, you would probably be
very, very bored with most of the questions posed here.  Phil and Vance
continue to contribute to our discussion group though, and I admire them for
that as do lots of other folks I'am sure.
