Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Busby permission
Perhaps, Ray, it would be of some benefit to merely publish information on
where reprints could be obtained. (Not that I think you wouldn't think of
that!) For myself, I don't mind paying for such an apparently essential
reference work- or works; I hear there are actually more than one Busby book.
Personally, I have some concerns about disseminating intellectual properites
over the free internet. I don't think it's wrong necessarily, but I do know of
instances where this has been abused, and I applaude you for erring on the side
of protecting the owners of this work, even if out of self-preservation!.
Having said that, I do hope that this information will be available to all
concerned, and that fees or prices will be reasonable. ( I recently found a
potential source of one Busby book copy for $75, and I do not think that to be
unreasonable. I have not acted on that, however, as I have only just become
aware that there was a potential conflict.)

Hi Folks,
I am dropping the Busby project. I don't need the legal hassels and
hearsay about what we can and cannot publish to the site. I am certainly
not going to pay a lawyer blood money.
The purpose of PSUBS was to freely exchange information between the members.
Busby is certainly turning out to be more hassle then it is worth.
I hope some day they do republish, till then "Manned Submersibles" can
languish in obscurity. If any thing maybe the interest will add
impetus to the reprint project.
Regards,
Ray
