Hey Vance! ;-)

Yup! Chris is one of my favorite people in the Universe. A nicer guy and a
better modeler I've never had the pleasure of associating with. And what a
coincidence: we nicknamed him "Chulie" too!

For those of you who may read this and might like to know: Chris was a
Navy-trained Army hardhat salvage diver in Viet Nam, who went on to have
quite an involvement with commercial submarines. He and his wonderful wife
Sherry now own and operate EVA MODELS in Parker, Colorado. He's received
numerous awards from the Science Fiction Modeling community for his work:
lately, his Colonial Marines from the movie ALIENS are hot. He's also got
one of the nicest and most reasonably-priced set of Disney Nautilus
blueprints for sale that I know of: 24 X 36"; white lines on real nice
texture blue paper; only $12, or $25 if you want the plastic laminated set.
They can be used to make a scale model from, and make a beautiful wall
ornament when framed.

Chris is also working on producing a model of the USNavy SEAL's MK-IV SDV in
1:6 scale. I did the plans for him a while back. Oughta make a radical R/C
model or pool toy.

Those wanting to see Chris' website can find it at:

Scroll down to the bottom and click on the link to enter the site. While
there, check out his Colonial Marines models from ALIENS. The detail Chris
gets into is mind-boggling!

So anyway, Vance, please tell me: what is HBOI, and howsabout some more info
about your 1/2 model of the NAUTILUS? I knew Chris had built a 33-incher
(it's viewable on his website), but do I understand correctly that he also
made one that's like 1/2 of the model, flat on one side, and maybe suitable
for mounting on a wall? That's far out! Hang on to that puppy, Bud! Ya
got something special there!

VBR,

Pat
