Hi Dan,

They already have!  (See previous email.)  Luckily, we were only loading
batteries into the boat (instead of something else) when the County Mounties
arrived.

And (considering the unreasonable anti-submarine-project prejudice exhibited
by some people in the neighborhood back when I was building the Nautilus) if
they could have seized my boat for carrying contraband Die Hards, they
probably would have.

Experiences like the above are part of the reason why I moved to a remote
volcanic island in the Pacific.  Now, the words of James Mason as Captain
Nemo come to mind:

"On the surface, men still exercise unjust laws.  They fight and tear each
other to pieces.  A few feet below the surface, their reign ceases; their
evil drowns...Here, on the Ocean's floor, is the only independence...here, I
am free."
