One way to look at critics is that they are just another victory to gloat 
over after they have been proven royally wrong by what you have done, might 
even make some money off it as well.

P.s.: The bioluminescent bacteria idea is actually not so bad, but it would 
really be better for interior lighting of the sub unless you can make the 
stuff glow as bright as a halogen bulb.

P.p.s.: I have a friend who puts out enough methane to propel the sub without 
burning the stuff.
