Could something be rigged up to maintain a constant 1
atm pressure on the other side of the diaphram? Then
when the air pressure dropped, the diaphram would trip
and cycle the valve to equalize the pressure back to 1
atm? It seems like you could easily build a 1 atm
"standard" to use with the regualtor. Am I missing
something as well?
