Sorry, this is kind of off topic, but I can't find the word "skosh" in the
dictionary. I know what it means, but I've never seen it spelled so I'm
curious why I can't find it. Is it some kind of idiom?

Hey, it can't be off topic! It's one of the most important and flexible forms
of measurement around. As in .... no, no, that ain't tight enough. Give her a
skosh more with that there crescent wrench, bub. Or .... ease up just a
skosh, sport, you're bustin' my back here .... and so on. This is valuable
information for the young and/or inexperienced psubber (or hot rodder, or
astronaut, or neurosurgeon, come to that). It's our responsibility, nay, our
duty I say, to pass these valuable tidbits along. And just wait until some
one asks about the C.H., R.C.H., and T.R.C.H. measurements. They never were
PC, but we all ought to know how far that is. I mean, a TRCH? Now that's so
close that it takes an expert to see it. Right?
