Carl, I researched it and bought some Plug stock as a result. There is a 
company in Canada that makes a unit for automobiles, and Plug is due out 
with a residential units the beginning of next year through GE. Currently 
the price of the PEM (proton emission membrane) is dropping drastically 
enough to make it cost effective. The PEM is the heart of the unit. For 
about $6K, you could probably get one that would do the job. But this is 
production cost units. The units now available for R and  D and experimental 
purposes are about $25K. i would wait until the production models come out. 
This will be in another year or two.
