[PSUBS-MAILIST] I just had a look at the Tennessee Tech page.
They're building a human-powered sub for the ISR. They've built about
five. I wish I'd saved the URL.
The most interesting is Torpedo 3.5. The screw is the same diameter
as the hull, and it's in the front. There are two sets of high-aspect
fins at either end, both abaft the screw.
Ignoring the physical dangers of a narrow-blade screw turning at a
high RPM, what are the problems with this approach? I tried to
download a file about their designs, but it was infested with a
virus and Norton cancelled the download.
