I stopped into a dive shop I was wakling by last week.  I bought a book, 
Oxygen First Aid for Divers, by John Lippman and authorized by DAN, the 
Divers Alert Network.  There is a training class available after basic dive 
certification for providing emergency oxygen to injured divers.  It sounds 
like a good thing to take.  I'll list some subjects covered in this book:

Respiratory&Circulation, Circulatory Failure/Shock, Resuscitation, Benefits 
of Breathing elevated oxygen concentrations, Adverse Reactions to Oxygen, 
Storage and Handling of Oxygen, Care and Maintenance of Oxygen Systems.
