Hi Alex,
Not speaking for Dale, but professional welding services cost money.
The builder of a steel submarine has two alternatives: (1) pay someone to do
it for you; or (2) do it yourself. If you're going to do it yourself,
you've got to be skilled in metal fabrication. What's more important, the
journey or the objective? If, in building a submarine, you first become a
welder, that skill will benefit you for the rest of your life, and possibly
lead you to even greater things. Don't be in a hurry, Brah. In life,
getting there is oftentimes not as valuable as going there.
