Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Commercial sub in NZ

No, not US Sub. This has to be the double bubble sub built in Ft. Lauderdale by George Bezak for a local yacht broker out of the remnants of the PC-1501 sub that originally was built by Perry for Vickers Oceanics. The new sub is 54" diameter, about 12 feet long and has a pair of 3+ inch thick, 150 degree arc segment ports the full hull diameter, front and back. It has the original PC 15 conning tower, internal batteries under the deck plates, air conditioning and stereo and will carry a pilot and 4 passengers. It weighs about 11,500 pounds and is very nice indeed. I was down there last fall having a look at it after it was brought back from its original owner. If you get a chance, go see it. You'll like it a lot. I'd love to know what the investors paid for the sub itself.
