What about using recycled plastic formed into a mold for a hull? You now
see this stuff formed into planks of plastic wood for park benches and a
variety of structural items. It can be inches thick & not have a lot of
weight or cost. The give of the material would be proportionate to the
support it is given. I guess the thought behind this would be to be able to
mass produce hulls at a minimal cost.
