RE: [PSUBS-MAILIST] Ray: "Launching" AVI...
Don't know about everyone else, but I can download that sucker in about 5
minutes. If enough of us have high-speed connections, it shouldn't tax the
system too much.

to AVI. Problem is, I
went kind of overboard. At 1 minute and 15 seconds running time, It
features the launch, some
surface running, a dive and surface sequence, haulout, and trailering
scenes; with transitions and
music: it's pretty neat to watch; but it takes up 7.35 megabites; and takes
almost 25 minutes to
download from email! (OUCH!)
Having fun I see. :)

dedicate to this project on
your site?
Well, what Jonathan doesn't know..... Actually I do not believe the space is
an issue. Jonathan
Wallace can speak up if it is. Same for bandwidth.

on PSUBS; or just the
first time you download it from email?
This is a concern. I will put the appropiate message on the web site stating
that it
will take a long time to download. However I feel the best way to go is to
break it
down into chunks. IE. individual clips of:
the launch
some surface running
a dive and surface sequence
haulout
trailering scenes
That way people will only download what they want to see and they wont be
tying up the server for
25 minutes at a time.
