Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] But seriously, folks...
Chris,
Some people only dream; others make their dreams a reality. The choice is
there for each of us. The difference is determination. Among those who
refuse to give up, there are only two types of subber: those who have built
their boat, and those who will.
Regarding Phil Nuytten: considering what he's accomplished, (and to adapt an
old skydiving term to submersible use), the guy's a "sub god" for sure. I,
too, appreciate the fact that he's still "regular" enough to frequent this
site and bump elbows with us amateurs; it says a lot about him that I like.
I've also seen him on TV lately; despite his success, he comes across like a
straightforward "one of the fellas" kind of guy. We're all fortunate to
have people of that caliber involved with PSUBS.
Instead of gazing at your propane tank, why don't you calculate its surface
area, weight, volume, displacement, buoyancy, and longitudinal hydrostatic
center of gravity? That's among the first steps in turning it into a
pressure hull.
Very best regards,
Pat Regan
