Gentlemen,

 

Thank you kindly for the many ellucidating (sp?) responses. In no particular order:

 

> My psub is an unscheduled, unbudgeted project. Funding is based on lottery tickets. As long as construction is postponed, design can proceed with impugnity (sp?).

 

> I don't intend to use fiberglass for any part of the pressure hull. I'm thinking about using fiberglass for at least part of an unpressurized superstructure (exoskeleton) around a steel pressure hull.

 

> Crevice corrosion, yeah, duh.

> I can't use foam core for the same reason I can't use wood. At 300 m, all of the little air pockets will become tiny air pockets.
