Re: [PSUBS-MAILIST] psubs club sub
Hello All:
If you guys can agree to invest thousands of dollars on a time-share psub or
a beachfront estate then more power to ya! My vision is not so lofty.
Why not share in the cost of design and fabrication of psubs? What is
needed?
* A centrally located warehouse or structure with utilities necessary for
fabrication (2-phase, and 3-phase), and storage of projects in progress.
* Metal working machinery eg., mill, lathe, drill press, bandsaw,
grinders, etc., and associated tooling.
* Welders including: MIG, TIG, and Oxygen/Acetylene brazing/cutting.
* Computer system, Software for design, testing, organization, and tracking
progress.
* Vollunteers willing to work on projects at the direction of and in the
absence of owners.
I guess what I'am talking about is a time-share machine shop. Yeah, a shop
who's only purpose is to build psubs. and related components. After the
initial investment in machinery, the only cost would be rent and utilities.
Take a few weeks off to get your hands dirty and contribute to the
realization of someone's dream. Can you dig it? Just a thought.
TTYL,
Big Dave
